Two looks in black.. George and Amal Clooney catch the eye in Venice

The duo, George and Amal Clooney, caught attention on the red carpet, while attending the premiere of the movie “Ink” at the opening ceremony of the 83rd Venice Film Festival, where they appeared in two black looks that seemed coordinated in terms of character and colours. The remarkable moments were not limited to their outfits, as the duo was keen to express their affection in front of the photographers' lenses, in spontaneous scenes that combined them with hugs and touches of love and attention, which added a romantic character to their appearance during the opening of the festival.

For her part, Amal appeared in a black dress specially designed for her by the American house “Tom Ford” and signed by designer Haider Ackermann. The design is made of black silk taffeta, with a modern, sculpted cut, and a square collar with a geometric shape in shiny leather with irregular and sharp front pleats that add a geometric dimension to the dress, and the sides are decorated with transparent black georgette fabric.

The 48-year-old human rights lawyer completed her outfit with a black patent leather clutch bag and classic shoes in the same color. On the other hand, her husband Clooney accompanied her in a classic black tuxedo, which he coordinated with a white shirt and black shoes.

During the current session of the festival, the actor will be honored with the Golden Lion Award for Lifetime Achievement. When they arrived in Venice the day before yesterday, Amal chose the same house, as she wore a dark green suit from the Spring 2027 collection consisting of a silk satin top with a simple cut at the chest, with short shorts and a blazer in the same color, while she carried a gray suede bag.

This year's red carpet look is clearly different from Amal's appearance last year, when she chose a short, bright fuchsia dress from the fall 1995 collection of the French house Jean-Louis Scherrer. The design was characterized by an off-the-shoulder cut and a tight bodice, while the skirt was short in the front and fell in the back in the form of a long tail.
