The US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is investigating reports of a "molotov cocktail" being thrown at the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement building in downtown Atlanta on Tuesday evening.
The office said in a statement that there were no reports of injuries or major damage.
“FBI personnel and evidence collection technicians are on site to collect evidence,” the statement read.
He added: "There is currently no known threat to public safety."
The building also includes a court specialized in immigration cases.
US Immigration and Customs Enforcement did not immediately respond to an email requesting comment on Tuesday evening, while Atlanta police referred inquiries to federal authorities.
