Maariv poll: Eisenkot leads... and 67% fear a repeat of October 7
Tel Aviv - Ofoq News - An opinion poll conducted by Maariv newspaper, the results of which were published this morning, showed a narrowing of the gap between the coalition and opposition blocs, with changes recorded in the distribution of parliamentary seats. According to the poll, the strength of the coalition bloc increased by two seats to reach 51 seats, compared to 53 seats for the opposition bloc, which declined.

Tel Aviv - Ofoq News - An opinion poll conducted by Maariv newspaper, the results of which were published this morning, showed a narrowing of the gap between the coalition and opposition blocs, with changes recorded in the distribution of parliamentary seats.
According to the poll, the strength of the coalition bloc increased by two seats to reach 51 seats, compared to 53 seats for the opposition bloc, which declined by two seats, indicating a greater rapprochement between the two blocs.
At the party level, the “Yashar!” party topped the list. Gadi Eisenkot led the results with 21 seats, followed by the Likud Party with 19 seats. The “Together” party won 13 seats, the Democrats won 10, while “Israel Our Home” and “Otzma Yehudit” each won 9 seats.
The Joint Arab List won 7 seats, as well as “United Torah Judaism” and “Shas,” while “Religious Zionism” and “Unified” won 5 seats each. Amash Yisrael, Melonimani, and Kholkolet won 4 seats for each party.
Regarding who the Israelis prefer to head the government, Benjamin Netanyahu reduced the difference with Eisenkot to 6 percentage points, as Netanyahu received 47% compared to 41% for Eisenkot.
As for facing Naftali Bennett, the poll showed a continuation of the same difference, with Bennett receiving 45% compared to 41% for Netanyahu.
In another indicator, the poll showed that 67% of Israelis fear the occurrence of a security incident similar to the events of October 7, which reflects continuing security concerns on the Israeli street.
