Jordanian Public Security announces the death toll from the shooting in a church in Karak

The Public Security Directorate in Jordan announced that 6 people were killed and 28 others were injured in a shooting incident during a funeral in a church in the Karak Governorate in the south of the Kingdom, on Friday, while the Jordanian Director General later confirmed that the death toll had risen to 7. Public Security said in its statement: “6 martyrs and 28 injuries are the toll of the criminal incident that occurred during a funeral in the Karak Governorate so far.”

Jordanian Public Security continued by saying: “Investigations are underway and we will inform you of the results of the investigations immediately.” The Jordanian Al-Mamlaka channel quoted a source as saying that the shooting occurred in a church in the village of Hamoud in Karak, during a funeral at the church.
