Palestinian Islamic Bank and Nablus Municipality Conduct a Volunteer Day at the Childhood Happiness Park

Nablus - Afaq News - The Palestinian Islamic Bank, in partnership with the Nablus Municipality, organized a volunteer day at the Childhood Happiness Center affiliated with the municipality, as part of enhancing social responsibility and establishing a culture of volunteering and partnership in serving the city and its public facilities.

The activity included painting walls, fences, and playgrounds, trimming trees, cleaning the center's facilities and yards, and planting several seedlings to provide a more beautiful and suitable environment for children, families, and center visitors, with the participation of bank employees from branches and offices in the city of Nablus and municipal teams.

Commenting on this initiative, the General Manager of the Palestinian Islamic Bank, Dr. Imad Al-Saadi, stated that it aligns with the ongoing directives of the bank's Board of Directors and its social responsibility committee to instill a culture of volunteer work among bank employees and enhance our partnerships with various local community institutions to contribute to community service and development.

Al-Saadi explained that volunteer work is a fundamental pillar of the bank's approach to social responsibility, noting that the participation of bank employees in community initiatives contributes to creating a positive and tangible impact in various governorates.

Al-Saadi expressed his gratitude to the Nablus Municipality and its teams for their efforts in organizing this initiative and for their continuous cooperation with various institutions in the city, which enhances joint work and contributes to improving its reality, despite various circumstances and challenges.

For his part, Nablus City Council member Darar Touqan praised the efforts of the management and teams of the Palestinian Islamic Bank, commending the initiative that reflects the bank's interest in social responsibility and its commitment to actively participating in serving the city of Nablus and its facilities.

Touqan confirmed that the Nablus City Council, headed by Ms. Anan Al-Atira, welcomes such initiatives and partnerships that contribute to the development and improvement of municipal facilities, especially the spaces and areas designated for children, and enhance the spirit of cooperation among various institutions to serve the city and its people.

The volunteer day also provided an opportunity to strengthen cooperation between bank employees and municipal teams, through joint work in serving one of the vital facilities that welcomes children and families, reflecting the importance of the integration of roles among institutions in supporting community initiatives and improving the general environment in the city.

At the end of the event, the director of the Childhood Happiness Center, Samah Hanoon, praised the efforts of the Palestinian Islamic Bank teams and the Nablus Municipality, expressing her appreciation for this initiative and the volunteer work that contributed to beautifying the center and improving its facilities, positively impacting the children, families, and visitors of the center.

The sustainable social responsibility policy of the Palestinian Islamic Bank emphasizes the necessity of its contribution to the development process and playing an active role in serving the community, aiding our people, improving their living conditions, and enhancing their resilience in light of the difficult circumstances they face, in line with the global goals for sustainable development.
