The Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen announced the implementation of a qualitative military operation to dry up the vital sources used by the terrorist Houthi militia to fuel its war effort, including sites for storing, transporting and unloading fuel in Sanaa, Hodeidah and Dhamar.

The official spokesman for the coalition forces, the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen, Major General Turki Al-Maliki, stated that the leadership of the joint forces of the coalition has proven that the terrorist Houthi militia used civilian sites and vital resources to support its military activities, including the central Al-Sabahah station in Sanaa, underground fuel reserve stores, fuel tanks and docks designated for transporting and unloading it.

Al-Maliki explained that these sites are used to directly support the military activities of the militia, and deprive the Yemeni people of benefiting from the resources that are supposed to be allocated legitimately to meet their needs, pointing out that they are used to feed the arsenal of missiles and drones that threaten Saudi Arabia and the safety of airports, ports, and commercial ships in the Red Sea.

He added that the operation aimed to neutralize the capabilities used by the terrorist Houthi militia to threaten Saudi Arabia, Yemen, the southern Red Sea and international waterways, in light of what he described as carrying out attacks against civilians and civilian objects, and planning imminent attacks against civilian objects in the Kingdom and commercial ships.

The coalition affirmed its commitment to international humanitarian law, noting that it takes all possible precautions to avoid casualties or accidental damage to civilians during the planning and implementation of the operation.

The coalition called on the Houthis to immediately stop all terrorist operations targeting civilians and civilian objects, including airports, ports, oil installations and infrastructure.
