The Israeli army: There is no reason to attack Iran before the elections

Tel Aviv - Ofoq News - Senior officials in the Israeli army told the Ynet news site that launching an Israeli attack on Iran before the elections is not on the agenda, unless Iranian preparations to launch a missile are revealed.

According to them, Trump did not prevent an Israeli attack, as this action was not originally planned. However, the alert level was raised in line with American vigilance. They also noted that the flight approaching Iran was part of routine "accustomation" operations.

But in addition to military preparedness, the Israeli army faces a problem with Netanyahu and Katz’s public statements about the possibility of an attack, despite its efforts to maintain alert without escalation. The army fears the consequences of these statements, which it does not control politically, but it will bear their consequences on the ground.

Meanwhile, preparations continue in the Air Force. According to reports, a training sortie was carried out this week for dozens of combat aircraft, simulating the scenario of an attack on Iran, and the aircraft reached the outskirts of the Iranian border. These sorties are part of an operational routine designed to maintain air force efficiency, study enemy vulnerabilities, determine effective flight paths, and maintain the ability to surprise. It indicates continued readiness, but in and of itself does not indicate a decision to launch an attack before the elections.

For now, according to the Israeli newspaper, Trump seems uninterested in attacking the Islamic Republic - at least not before the midterm elections in the United States, which will be held in two weeks, on November 3. In a new post published by Trump today, he did not threaten to attack — but claimed that Iran is “creating fake vulnerabilities.”

According to Trump, “Iran is doing everything they can to raise oil prices before the midterm elections in the United States. They are even making up fake strikes and mines and everything else, because the amount of oil going through the Strait of Hormuz now is greater than it was even before the conflict started.”

Iranian state television announced today that seven oil tankers were attacked or attacked by sea mines in the Strait of Hormuz overnight. If this report is correct, this will be the largest number of ships damaged in Hormuz in one day since the start of the Iran-Iraq war on February 28.

A report published yesterday in the British newspaper "Financial Times", which Netanyahu denied, claimed that Trump had obstructed an attack that Netanyahu had ordered on Iran on the weekend of October 10, that is, about two weeks ago. The report also stated that the Israeli army was preparing for several days of fighting with Iran about a week and a half ago, and was targeting civilian infrastructure in the Islamic Republic, such as power plants, nuclear facilities, and other regime targets. However, the plan - which Prime Minister Netanyahu had sought to implement - was eventually halted due to President Donald Trump's opposition to resuming fighting before the midterm elections.

Meanwhile, the New York Times reported tonight that the US and Israeli militaries have drawn up detailed plans to resume attacks on Iran after the US midterm elections, including a "short and intense" operation.

It is estimated that a three-day attack could inflict economic damage on Iran that forces it to return to the negotiating table. For their part, high-ranking Iranian officials stated that they are aware of American and Israeli war plans, and are working to develop new goals and tactics of their own.
