Tel Aviv - Afaq News - The Israeli army revealed, after three years since the October 7 attack, a comprehensive report on its military operations and the changes it has made to its intelligence and combat systems.
According to army data, approximately 100,000 targets have been targeted since the beginning of the war, including 65,000 in the Gaza Strip, 28,000 in Lebanon and Syria, 4,500 in Iran, and about 80 targets in Yemen.
Additionally, tens of thousands of projectiles have been launched towards Israel, including about 20,000 from Lebanon, 10,200 from Gaza, 1,200 from Iran, as well as around 90 from Yemen and 50 from Syria.
The army indicated that 970 soldiers were killed during the operations, while more than 70% of the injured soldiers returned to service.
In the West Bank, it stated that it has arrested or detained about 45,000 for investigation, confiscated more than 3,800 weapons and military equipment, in addition to over 46 million shekels that it said were intended to finance terrorist activities.
In the context of drawing lessons from the war, the army announced changes in the intelligence system, most notably enhancing early warning, expanding warning teams, and developing new models, with an emphasis on skepticism and critical examination of intelligence assessments.
The army also strengthened the fortification of the borders with Gaza, establishing about 40 security centers and physical barriers equipped with technological capabilities, while stating that it has carried out more than 4,000 excavation operations to monitor underground infrastructure since the ceasefire in October.
Currently, the duration of service for soldiers ranges between 80 and 100 days in each combat cycle, compared to a previous plan that stipulated about 55 days annually.
