On Saturday evening, the Yemeni Armed Forces, backed by popular resistance, regained control of the Al-Makarma and Al-Zakira areas in Al-Shamaytain District, south of Taiz Governorate, southwest of the country.

The media center of the Taiz Military Axis explained that the violent battles continued for the third day in a row on a number of fronts of the Taiz Axis, and were concentrated in Al-Kadha and Bani Bakari in the Jabal Habashi District, and the Sami’ front in the south of the governorate and Jabal Han in Al-Dhabab.. confirming that the armed forces achieved progress in Sam’i and confronted a violent Houthi attack in Al-Dhabab.

On the Fog Front, west of the city of Taiz, government forces repelled a violent attack launched by the Houthi militia on Jabal Han and Hazran, and forced the militia to retreat after violent confrontations and inflicting heavy losses.
The rest of the fronts also witnessed intermittent clashes and artillery shelling, during which government forces targeted militia gatherings, vehicles, and weapons in Jabal Ghurab and Tabat al-Qarn, west of the city. They also targeted a militia tank on the northern front, and bombed Houthi gatherings in the Central Security Camp on the eastern front.
The media center for the Taiz axis indicated that, on Saturday evening, government forces thwarted two infiltration attempts carried out by the Houthi militia on the Al-Anin front in the Jabal Habashi district and the Jabal Han front, west of Taiz, and forced them to retreat, pointing out that the confrontations resulted in the killing and wounding of dozens of Houthi militia members.
These developments come in light of a simultaneous Houthi military escalation taking place on several fronts in Taiz Governorate, amid Houthi attempts to advance on a number of axes, which are met with confrontations and counterattacks from government forces and the popular resistance.
