At 5:40 p.m., all passengers completed their journey on an alternative plane via Flydubai, while the flight crew returned to Dubai via another plane of the same airline, except for the pilot and his assistant, who were taken to the hospital to receive the necessary treatment, based on an assessment of their health condition. The source indicated that preliminary investigations conducted by the competent authorities in the Kingdom with the participation of a security team from the sisterly United Arab Emirates indicated that there had been an assault on the pilot of the plane by his co-pilot, which resulted in both of them being subjected to separate injuries.
