The General Authority of Civil Aviation in Saudi Arabia announced that on the evening of Monday, October 5, 2026, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Jazan and Najran International Airport were subjected to two attacks targeting their facilities. Emergency teams and relevant authorities immediately began responding to the attacks as soon as they occurred, in accordance with approved procedures and plans.

The authority stated in a statement that these attacks resulted in three minor injuries and material damages, and the injured were transported to the hospital to receive the necessary medical care.

It added that it is working, in continuous integration and coordination with the relevant security authorities, to assess the damages and take all necessary measures to ensure the safety of travelers and workers, and to maintain the security and safety of the civil aviation system in the Kingdom.

The President of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council, Rashad Al-Alimi, announced the launch of the military operation "Dawn of Yemen" aimed at restoring state institutions, liberating the capital Sana'a, and ending the "Houthi militia coup" supported by Iran. Al-Alimi announced in a speech addressed to the Yemenis the transition to the military option after exhausting opportunities for calm and peace efforts, confirming that the armed forces, security, and military formations have received directives to carry out their tasks according to the approved plans. Meanwhile, the Yemeni forces began what they described as a "strategic attack" to liberate the capital Sana'a, after controlling Bab al-Mandab and launching a wide attack from three fronts in northern, western, and southern Yemen.
