Kuwait and Iraq held a security meeting during which they discussed issues of common interest and ways to enhance coordination and exchange of experiences in the field of border security in a way that contributes to supporting the security and stability of the two countries.
Today, Thursday, October 8, 2026, the Head of the Border Security and Coast Guard Sector, Major General Mujbil Fahd Bin Shouq, received a security delegation from the Republic of Iraq headed by the Commander of the Iraqi Border Forces, Lieutenant General Muhammad Abdul-Wahab Al-Saeedi, accompanied by the Commander of the Fourth Region Borders, Major General Hikmat Halim Daye, and a number of security leaders, in the presence of a number of sector leaders.
During the visit, the delegation was briefed on aspects of security cooperation between the two countries and joint efforts in the field of border security.
The two sides held a meeting during which they discussed issues of common interest and ways to enhance coordination and exchange of experiences in the field of border security in a way that contributes to supporting the security and stability of the two countries.
The visit also witnessed the signing of a cooperation document between the two sides to enhance joint coordination in the security and border fields.
