Manchester United fans protested against the team's owners, the Glazer family and billionaire Jim Ratcliffe, during the match against Aston Villa, on Sunday, in the English Premier League (Premier League). The Red Devils fans, who were present in the stands of Old Trafford, released green and gold balloons, the colors of Newton Heath, the former name of Manchester United, as an expression of rejection of the current owners remaining and demanding a return to the club’s roots.
“Red Devils” supporters raised banners, including one that read: “We do not want a new stadium, but new owners,” and they launched loud slogans. Despite the anger of Manchester United fans at the owners, the team's players succeeded in avoiding a loss to their guest, Aston Villa, as they forced them to draw 4/4 after they were trailing 2/4 until stoppage time 90+. The "Red Devils" now have 8 points in 18th place on the Premier League ladder.
