After being described as "unstable and dangerous".. Trump clarifies his statements regarding the hypothesis of "Iran destroying two cities in America"

It seems that U.S. President Donald Trump is trying to clarify statements he made earlier this week that sparked angry reactions from both parties, when he appeared to suggest that Iran is capable of "destroying" the cities of Los Angeles and San Diego. In a speech delivered during a rally on Wednesday evening in San Antonio, Texas, Trump made similar remarks, adding: "We will not allow that to happen."

I said this a few days ago: Let them launch a missile at San Diego or Los Angeles; let them strike... let them strike Los Angeles, and then you will see terrible things happen; you will see a country in free fall.

California officials quickly responded the first time he made those remarks, criticizing the president after a rally in Grand Island, Nebraska. Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom described the president as "unhinged and dangerous."

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass stated that the remarks regarding the city "could jeopardize our safety." As the wave of criticism intensified, Stephen Cheung, the White House communications director, stated on the platform "X" that Trump was "clearly clarifying that American cities would be threatened if the nuclear Iran was not stopped."
