After an absence of 20 years.. Cyrine Abdel Nour returns as a “bride” on the stage of Dubai Fashion Week

- After nearly 20 years away from the fashion show platforms, the Lebanese artist Cyrine Abdel Nour returned to the world of fashion through Dubai Fashion Week, where the Indian designer Pallavi Puri chose her to present the final bridal look of her “Beyond Borders” collection for the spring and summer season of 2027, Thursday, October 22. Abdel Nour appeared in a wedding dress distinguished by lace details and hand embroidery, at the end of a show that was based on combining elements of Indian and Arab cultures, and made the presence of two stars from the two countries an essential focus in it.

Lebanese fashion stylist Cedric Haddad revealed, in an interview with the Ofoq News website in Arabic, the scenes of this cooperation, noting that the brand, which is based in Dubai, is participating for the first time in Dubai Fashion Week, through a collection inspired by the idea of combining Indian and Arab cultures. The designer chose Cyrine Abdel Nour and the Indian actress and model Lisa Haydon to be the two most prominent stations in her collection, as Haydon opened the show, while Abdel Nour was in charge of closing it, in A step aimed at highlighting the convergence between Indian and Arab cultures. He also added that Abdel Nour's choice was linked to her image as an Arab woman interested in fashion and beauty, while the wedding dress was allocated to her at the end of the show, the only design from this category in the collection.

Regarding the details of the dress, the Lebanese fashion coordinator pointed out that the design adopted simplicity in its appearance, as opposed to focusing on couture techniques and hand embroidery, which are works that require months of implementation. Thus, the role of the dress was not limited to closing the show, but rather it allowed the literal aspect of the collection to be highlighted, through details that are not necessarily apparent at first glance.
