US President Donald Trump said that the entire Middle East region would not have existed had he not prevented Iran from possessing a nuclear weapon, as he put it. This came in a post by Trump on his page on the “Truth Social” platform, in which he said: “Israel, and even the entire Middle East region, would not exist today if I had not prevented Iran from possessing a nuclear weapon.
No one wants to say it, but everyone knows it's the truth! Washington places preventing Iran from developing a nuclear weapon as a main goal in the context of its confrontation with Tehran.
This week, Trump repeated his comments that the United States “may have to target” Jabal Ax — a suspected underground nuclear site where Israel believes Tehran stores part of its stockpile of enriched uranium and advanced centrifuges. Trump's post came at a time when the US administration announced, on Saturday, "a reward of up to $20 million, with the possibility of assistance in moving to another location, in exchange for providing information about the Iranian nuclear program."
According to a statement published by the “Rewards for Justice” program of the US State Department, and shared by the US Central Command (Centcom) via the “X” platform (formerly Twitter): “The International Atomic Energy Agency reported, in 2025, that Iran is enriching uranium to reach a purity of 60%, a level that is only one technical step away from the 90% required to make a nuclear weapon.”
