US President Donald Trump expected on Thursday to return to intensive bombing of Iran after the midterm elections next November.
President Trump added in statements to Time magazine that “new attacks on Iran are possible,” one day after he said that the war would soon end “one way or another.”
The US President also renewed his rejection of the latest Iranian ceasefire proposal, saying, "What I rejected a year ago, I will not agree to today."
Trump stressed that the United States' position in the negotiations with Iran is "very good," indicating in return that it is Tehran that wants to reach an agreement.
Trump acknowledged that there was a "slight shortage" in stocks of some munitions, after multiple media and intelligence reports. He said: “We have a slightly smaller stock of some types of ammunition,” noting, in return, that Washington is significantly enhancing its stockpiles and will also supply its allies with ammunition.
