An infant was killed and another child was injured, on Friday, as a result of a bombing by the terrorist Houthi militia on the Al-Dhabab area, west of Taiz Governorate, southwest of Yemen.
The Yemeni Network for Rights and Liberties reported that its field team monitored casualties as a result of the bombing, explaining that the infant, Muhammad Muhib Saeed Abdo Qasim, arrived at Al-Thawra General Hospital dead, after being hit by shrapnel in the head.
She added that the child, Ahmed Arif Abdo Qasim, was injured by scattered shrapnel throughout his body, as a result of the bombing that targeted the area.
The network condemned the Houthi bombing that killed the infant, who was only two weeks old, and demanded the protection of civilians and an end to attacks targeting residential areas.
It also called for an investigation into the incident and holding those responsible accountable, stressing the need to protect civilians from the repercussions of the continuing military escalation in the governorate.
