The Gulf Cooperation Council countries discussed the strategy for joint Gulf action in the field of labor and manpower, and counting the citizens of the Gulf countries within the nationalization rates.
This came during the twelfth meeting of the Undersecretaries of the Ministries of Labor in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, which was held via video conference, headed by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labor in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Sheikh Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, with the participation of the Assistant Secretary for Economic and Development Affairs of the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Khaled Al-Sunaidi, and the undersecretaries of the ministries concerned with labor in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
The meeting discussed the topics in preparation for submitting them to the GCC Labor Ministers Committee for approval and issuing decisions regarding them, during the committee meeting scheduled to be held on October 8, 2026 in Manama, the capital of the Kingdom of Bahrain, which holds the presidency of the current session.
This comes in implementation of the interest given by the leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries to the labor sector, and their keenness to create favorable conditions for its workers, in a way that enhances their role in the comprehensive development process witnessed by the GCC countries.
