Rezaei reveals the details of his meeting with Putin.. What did they discuss about the post-war period?

The Secretary of the Iranian Supreme National Security Council, Mohsen Rezaei, said on Thursday that he discussed with Russian President Vladimir Putin, during their meeting in the Kremlin, developments in the situation in the region, the post-war phase, and regional security arrangements. The semi-official Iranian Tasnim news agency quoted Rezaei as saying that the meeting dealt with “important issues in the region, post-war developments, and regional security arrangements,” without specifying the nature of the arrangements discussed or the parties involved in them.

Rezaei added that he delivered a message to Putin from the Iranian Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, saying: “The guide wanted me to deliver his message to Putin as soon as possible.” He pointed out that during the meeting, the Russian President conveyed his “warm and sincere” greetings to the Iranian Leader.

Rezaei revealed the study of a project to establish pipelines to transport Russian gas to Iran, explaining that the proposal aims to address the gas shortage in Iran and provide it with the opportunity to resell Russian gas to neighboring countries. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov had previously announced that a meeting would be held between Putin and Rezaei in the Kremlin, according to Tasnim.

The meeting came days after a phone call between Putin and Rezaei, on Monday, during which they discussed regional and international developments, especially the situation in the West Asia region.
