The value of Saudis' trading in the US stock market jumped to a new record level during the second quarter of 2026, after it rose by more than 56% compared to the same quarter last year, according to statistics prepared by "Arabia Business" based on the quarterly bulletin issued by the Capital Market Authority.

The value of Saudis’ trading, buying and selling, by financial market institutions in the US stock market, increased during the second quarter of 2026 to $80.58 billion (302.18 billion riyals), which is the highest historical level of trading ever.

The value of Saudi trading in US stocks increased by 56.25% during the second quarter of this year, compared to its value of $51.57 billion (193.4 billion riyals) in the same quarter of 2025.

On a quarterly basis, the value of Saudis’ trading in US stocks during the second quarter of this year jumped by 24.9% compared to their value during the first quarter of 2026, which amounted to $64.5 billion (241.86 billion riyals).

The value of Saudis’ trading in the American market during the first half of 2026 amounted to about $145.08 billion (544.04 billion riyals), compared to $97.91 billion (367.18 billion riyals) in the same period last year, increasing by 48.17%.

The value of Saudis’ trading in the US stock market represented 96.81% of the total value of their trading in foreign markets during the second quarter of 2026, amounting to $83.23 billion (312.12 billion riyals).

Regarding the total trading of Saudis in local and foreign stock markets, they increased during the second quarter of 2026 by 13.56% on an annual basis, to reach $257.76 billion (966.61 billion riyals), compared to $226.99 billion (851.22 billion riyals) in the same quarter of last year.

The value of trading in local stocks decreased slightly during the second quarter of this year by 0.08% on an annual basis, to reach $174.53 billion (654.49 billion riyals), compared to $174.67 billion (655 billion riyals) in the same quarter of 2025.

As for Saudis' trading in other foreign markets during the second quarter of 2026, the value of trading in European stocks came in second place, with a value of $829.87 million (3.11 billion riyals), recording an increase of 1882% on an annual basis, compared to $41.87 million (157 million riyals) in the same quarter of last year.

The value of trades in Gulf stocks amounted to $627.73 million (2.35 billion riyals), and in Asian stocks the value of trades by the Saudis amounted to $48.8 million (183 million riyals), while the value of trades in Arab stocks amounted to $7.47 million (28 million riyals).

Trading values ​​in other markets jumped by about 4,391% in the second quarter of 2026 on an annual basis, reaching $1.14 billion (4.27 billion riyals), compared to $25.33 million (95 million riyals) in the same quarter last year.
