Lapid: Netanyahu did not convey to me anything similar to the plane incident during the meeting

Tel Aviv - Ofoq News - Israeli opposition leader Yair Lapid said that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu did not convey to him during their meeting yesterday evening any information similar to what he described as the "plane incident" that occurred this morning.

Lapid said in a statement this evening, Wednesday: “I made the matter clear. Nothing appeared in the security briefing with the Prime Minister, yesterday evening, that even remotely resembled the plane incident that occurred this morning. It does not resemble it, nor is it reminiscent of it, not even remotely.”

He added: "All this campaign that is being launched now by the media mouthpieces only proves what has been clear since yesterday, which is that they are once again trying to practice a cheap policy at the expense of Israel's security. It is a reckless group."

Lapid's statements come in the wake of the security briefing he received yesterday evening from Netanyahu, during which he said that what was proposed did not include any reference to the development that occurred this morning.
