Iranian National Security Council: America has accepted some of our conditions

Secretary of the Iranian Supreme National Security Council, Major General Mohsen Rezaei, said that the United States accepted some of the seven conditions put forward by Tehran, the Iranian ISNA news agency reported on Sunday.

Rezaei said that the American position regarding other conditions is still unclear.

Rezaei said that the Council declares that it considers the response provided by the United States to Tehran’s proposals “insufficient.”

The Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council said earlier on Sunday that Iran is the one that will determine the date for the end of this confrontation, and said: Tehran will continue to resist until its legitimate demands are achieved.

The spokesman for the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee in the Iranian Parliament, Hassan Qashqavi, reiterated Tehran’s adherence to the seven conditions proposed in the framework of negotiations with the United States within what is known as the “Seven-Day Plan,” adding that these conditions were approved by the “highest authorities” of the regime and “cannot be modified or undone at any level of decision-making.”

Qashqawi said, in statements reported by Mehr Agency, on Saturday, that the seven conditions “are not subject to negotiation or review,” adding that they were “informed by the highest authorities” of the regime, which reflects Tehran’s insistence on maintaining its negotiating position without change.

He also considered that previous experiences with Washington “require the full implementation of these conditions before taking any other steps,” accusing the United States of reneging on its previous commitments and straying from the diplomatic path.
