A Saudi official confirmed that the “Houthi terrorist militia’s attacks” exceeded all moral and religious considerations by deliberately targeting Mecca, Medina, pilgrims, and visitors. This makes confronting terrorist militias a shared international responsibility.
Riyadh's assurances came within the framework of a speech by the Saudi Deputy Foreign Minister, Engineer Walid Al-Khuraiji, in his meeting with the ambassadors of Arab countries accredited to the Kingdom, at the ministry's headquarters in Riyadh.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Saudi official confirmed that the Houthi terrorist militia’s attacks with ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and marches against civil and economic installations and airports in the Kingdom are full-fledged war crimes.
He reiterated that the Kingdom's priority is to protect civilians and take all precautionary measures to that end, and said: "The Kingdom will not be lax in protecting its citizens, residents, or visitors, and will take all legitimate measures to defend its lands, repel aggression, and deter aggressors."
In a related context, Al-Khuraiji reaffirmed the Kingdom’s continued support for the Yemeni people and their legitimate government and to help them confront the attacks of the terrorist Houthi militia, explaining that the terrorist Houthi militia bears full responsibility for the crimes it causes against the Yemeni people.
In turn, the ambassadors renewed their countries' condemnation of the attacks against the Kingdom and its civilian objects and vital installations, expressing their countries' solidarity with the Kingdom in the measures it takes to confront these attacks, and in preserving the Kingdom's security and stability and protecting its citizens and residents.
