Nablus - Afaq News - Settlers attacked olive pickers today, Monday, in the Bab al-Jami area west of the town of Burqa, northwest of Nablus.
Local sources reported that settlers attacked farmers while they were harvesting olives in the area, preventing them from continuing their work, and seized a tractor belonging to one of the farmers from the neighboring town of Bzarriya.
Since the start of the current olive harvesting season, farmers have been subjected to repeated assaults by settlers, including attacks, abuse, detention, and theft of crops, while settlers seize olive crops in lands that farmers are prevented from accessing due to the measures of the occupation forces.
According to the latest reports from the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, settlers have carried out more than 14,742 attacks in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, since October 7, 2023, resulting in the martyrdom of 66 citizens.
The commission indicated that the settlers' assaults have targeted 147,111 trees through destruction, uprooting, burning, and poisoning, including 100,485 olive trees.
