-Mustafa Kamel, head of the Syndicate of Musical Professions in Egypt, announced on Thursday, in a blog post on his personal Facebook page, that the artist Mohamed El-Helou had left intensive care, indicating that his health condition had stabilized. Al-Helou had suffered a health crisis in early November, and his son Hamada revealed that his father had undergone urgent medical intervention after his heart stopped “twice.”
Medical examinations showed “a complete blockage in two arteries in the heart, in addition to a 90% blockage in a third artery, which required an urgent operation during which five stents were installed,” according to what Hamada reported about his father’s health condition in a previous statement to the Egyptian government website, Al-Ahram Gate. The artist Rami Sabry recently shared a picture of himself with the artist Mohamed Al-Helou in the hospital, and reassured his fans of his health.
