The flight tracking data, which was viewed by the Ofoq News network, showed that the Flydubai plane involved in the “violent incident” descended 17,400 feet (from an altitude of 34,000 feet to about 16,600 feet) in just under two minutes, at approximately 1:20 a.m. East Coast time in the United States. The plane's speed fluctuated sharply, as it accelerated before suddenly and quickly slowing down.
This rapid change in altitude and speed can be clearly observed in the flight tracking system, as shown in the graph below:
