Artist Michel Milad continues his steps in cinema through choices that give him the opportunity to move between different types of characters, and not be satisfied with repeating the same template in his works. During his artistic participation, Milad is keen to search for roles that carry a new challenge, whether through the nature of the character or the circumstances imposed by events, which is evident in his new cinematic experience with the movie “Shish Do.”

The film comes at a stage during which Michel seeks to expand his cinematic presence, especially with his reliance on a character that carries a mixture of contradictions, combining the evil side with comedic situations, which forces the actor to deal with a precise space in the performance so that one side does not overshadow the other. During the events, Milad embodies the character of “Hilal”, in which he found an opportunity to present a different color than he had presented before, in addition to engaging in a number of unconventional situations that posed an additional challenge during filming.

For Michel, the specificity of the experience is not limited to the nature of the character, but also extends to the filming conditions themselves, after he found himself facing scenes that included dealing with predatory animals, which made the scenes of the film carry an aspect of adventure in addition to the acting work. In his conversation with Al Arabiya.net, Michel talked about the details of the film.

Artist Michel Milad said that the character “Hilal” was one of the main reasons that encouraged him to participate in “Shish Do,” explaining that the character presents a different situation, because he moves in a space that combines evil and comedy.

He explained that presenting an evil character in a comedic setting was not an easy matter, as he had to maintain the nature of “Hilal” without the character turning into an exaggerated performance, stressing that this balance was one of the challenges he enjoyed during his work.

He pointed out that the scenario gave him space to deal with the character in a way that allowed multiple aspects of him to emerge, which made him see in “Hilal” an opportunity to present a different performance, especially since the comedy here is linked to the nature of the character and the situations in which he finds himself, and not just direct statements.

Michel added that for him, “Shish Do” represents a cinematic experience that carries a degree of difference, especially since it relies on situations and characters that open the way for comedy in addition to the development of events.

He explained that working in cinema requires a great deal of focus and deliberation, because the details of the character and the way he appears to the audience are affected by every choice the actor makes during filming, pointing out that enjoying the experience is inseparable from the commitment to presenting the role appropriately.

He stressed that his interest during the current period is focused on diversifying the characters he presents, so that he does not become tied to one type of role, pointing out that each new character represents for him an opportunity to test a different area in performance.

Michel Milad revealed that one of the most difficult situations he faced during filming were the scenes that included the presence of predatory animals, explaining that dealing with them was not an easy experience for him, especially since he felt afraid of them.

He added that these scenes remained among the details he remembers most from the scenes of the film, due to the tension and challenge they carried, stressing that the presence of a specialized team and the organization of the filming process helped to implement the scenes as required.

Michel spoke about his cooperation with artists Bassem Samra and Bayoumi Fouad, expressing his happiness at working alongside them, stressing that the presence of names with long experience represents an important addition to any artistic experience.

He explained that standing in front of two artists with great experience gives him an opportunity to learn and observe the details of the performance and the way to deal with the scenes, noting that the work environment helped to benefit from this experience.

He added that "Shish Do" brought together a group of artists in different atmospheres, which was reflected in the scenes of filming and the nature of the experience that came out of the film.

Michel Milad pointed out that his participation in “Shish Do” represents an important step for him, especially as it gives him an opportunity to appear in a new space, whether through the nature of “Hilal’s” character or through the unusual circumstances that accompanied the filming.

He stressed that what matters to him in his future choices is to continue presenting diverse characters, and to search for roles that add to his career instead of repeating previous experiences, considering that personality differences are one of the elements that push him to accept any new work.
