Ahmed Mwafaq Zaidan, media advisor to the transitional Syrian president, Ahmed Al-Sharaa, denied that Saudi Arabia had asked Damascus to send fighters to participate in the Yemen war, stressing that Syria stands with Riyadh “with all strength and firmness.” Press reports spoke about “Saudi Arabia asking Syria to send fighters” to support the Yemeni government forces supported by the Kingdom in the Yemen war, during Al-Sharaa’s last visit to Saudi Arabia on Tuesday, where he met with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and was seen off by Saudi Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman.
