The Turkish authorities announced that at least 11 people were killed and 27 injured after a bus overturned after colliding with a truck, on Sunday, in the west of the country.
The accident occurred near the entrance to a highway between Bursa and the coastal city of Izmir, according to what Manisa Governorate reported on its social media account.
She added, "11 Turks were killed, and 27 others were injured."
Interior Minister Mustafa Çifçi reported, via social media, that rescue teams were immediately sent to the site of the accident. He said, "We are closely monitoring the situation in coordination with all concerned parties."
Pictures published by local media showed the overturned bus with its windshield shattered, and it was stuck over security barriers.
