Tel Aviv - Ofoq News - An Israeli report based on data from the Jewish People Policy Institute revealed that 138 measures were monitored against Israel in 63 countries and entities, an indication of the widening scope of international political and economic pressures imposed on it.
According to what was reported by the Israeli newspaper “Maariv”, the United States tops the list in terms of the number of recorded measures, contrary to the common belief that Türkiye or Ireland are the ones who take the most steps against Israel.
The measures monitored by the Institute include restrictions, sanctions and political positions, in addition to measures related to academic cooperation and economic and military relations. The report points out the importance of distinguishing between measures that have entered into force and those that are still proposed or under study.
Experts warned, according to the newspaper, that the accumulation of these measures may have a negative impact on Israeli trade, industry and security, in light of the decline in international support for Israel and the widening of disputes with a number of countries.
These data come at a time when Israel is facing increasing international pressure regarding its policies and the war in the region, amid varying countries’ positions between imposing practical restrictions and being content with political positions and diplomatic criticism.
