The Saudi Civil Aviation Authority announced that the number of deaths as a result of the attack on King Fahd Airport in Dammam, yesterday, Wednesday, had risen to two people, a Saudi citizen and an Indian resident.
The authority stated in a statement today, Thursday, that the number of infected people reached 8 people, of Saudi, Yemeni, Nepalese, and Indian nationalities.
In addition, civil aviation confirmed the resumption of operational operations at Dammam Airport, noting that air traffic has returned to normal.
The authority reported yesterday that the injuries ranged from minor to severe, noting that the injured were immediately transferred to the hospital to receive the necessary health care.
She also added that the attack resulted in material damage that is being assessed.
This came as Operation “Yemen Dawn” between the Yemeni forces and the Houthi militias has been continuing for about 3 weeks.
The Houthi militias launched an attack on Riyadh Airport on the 10th of this month, resulting in the death of 13 people and the injury of others.
It is noteworthy that the confrontations between the militias and the Yemeni forces were renewed last July due to the conflict between Iran and America, which led to the collapse of a truce that had been in effect in Yemen since 2022.
