The death toll from the missile attack launched by the Houthi militia, on Thursday evening, targeting the Ma'ashiq Presidential Palace, the official headquarters of the Yemeni government in the interim capital, Aden, rose to five dead and 16 wounded.
The Yemeni Minister of Health, Qasim Buhaibah, said that the attack resulted in the death of five people and the injury of 16 others, noting that the victims were workers at the site, including guards and civilian employees.
He added, in a brief statement on his Facebook page, that the attack brings to mind the targeting of the government at Aden International Airport in December 2020, coinciding with the arrival of its members to the temporary capital, in an attack that left dead and wounded.
On Thursday evening, the Houthi militia launched a missile and drone attack on the Ma'ashiq presidential palace in Aden, which the Yemeni government considered an extension of its criminal behavior and an attempt to undermine the work of state institutions and confuse military efforts aimed at ending the coup and restoring security and stability.
