The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs announced the death of a citizen and the injury of four others as a result of the brutal attack launched by the Houthi group on King Khalid International Airport in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, yesterday.
The Ministry's official spokesman, Ambassador Fouad Al-Majali, explained that the Ministry, through the Directorate of Operations and the Jordanian Embassy in Riyadh, is following up on the conditions of the injured citizens in coordination with the relevant Saudi authorities to provide them with the necessary medical care, provide all the assistance and support they need, as well as secure the transportation of the deceased's body to the Kingdom.
He stated that the Jordanian ambassador in Riyadh visited the injured to check on their health conditions and assess their needs. He explained that two citizens left the hospital and two citizens were still in the hospital receiving treatment, and that the embassy would continue to monitor their conditions and provide them with all necessary forms of assistance and support.
Al-Majali renewed Jordan's condemnation of the attacks launched by the Houthi militia against the sister Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, its civilians, and its civilian and economic objects, and Jordan's absolute solidarity with Saudi Arabia, and its support in all the steps it takes to protect its security, stability, capabilities, and the safety of its citizens and residents.
He appreciated the efforts and cooperation of the Saudi authorities in providing care and medical care to injured Jordanian citizens.
Al-Majali expressed his sincere condolences and sympathy to the family of the deceased, wishing a speedy recovery for the two injured.
