She added that Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed "during the call, reassured the safety of the passengers of the Flydubai flight heading from Dubai International Airport to Ben Gurion International Airport, which witnessed a security incident that was brought under control. He expressed his wishes for good health and wellness for them, and also conveyed his greetings to the families of the passengers." For its part, the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, during a briefing to ambassadors and heads of Israeli missions around the world, that the stabbing incident of a pilot on board a “Fly Dubai” flight was an “attempted terrorist attack” that targeted Israelis, the UAE, and the “Abraham Accords.”

Israeli Foreign Ministry Director General Eden Bar Tal told diplomats during the briefing held under Sa'ar's direction that "terrorism will not harm the strong relations" between Israel and the UAE.
