Egyptian director Rami Imam revealed the fact of presenting an artistic work that deals with the biography of his father, the great artist Adel Imam, explaining that the idea is still in the information gathering and preparation stage, and its implementation has not been officially decided yet.

Rami Imam said in statements on the sidelines of his attendance at the opening ceremony of the El Gouna Film Festival, on Saturday evening, that presenting a documentary about his father’s life is possible, but it is still just an idea under study, noting that implementing a project of this size requires long preparations and careful collection of information and details related to the leader’s life and artistic career.

He also explained: “It is not certain. We would certainly like to collect some information and present a documentary about the life of Adel Imam, and this is not something that takes one day and one night. This is a lot of time and long preparations, and every once in a while we collect something.”

Rami Imam pointed out that documenting the life of “the leader” requires multiple stages of research and preparation, allowing for the presentation of a documentary experience that monitors aspects of his personal and artistic life, and reviews the stages of his career, which spanned decades and left a prominent mark in cinema, theater and television.

While Rami Imam did not reveal a specific date for the start of project implementation or details of the final form of the work, stressing that the idea has not yet reached the official decision stage, in light of the continued collection of information and thinking about how to present it.

On the other hand, Rami Imam commented on the fabricated photo of his father, the great artist Adel Imam, which was recently circulated on social networking sites as it was his latest appearance, and then it turned out that it had nothing to do with the leader and was created with artificial intelligence.

Rami Imam said, at the opening ceremony of the El Gouna Film Festival: “Artificial intelligence has had a very big boom, and this, like the Internet, has good uses and bad uses, and we have become accustomed to it.”

It is noteworthy that the last appearance of leader Adel Imam was in July of last year, during the wedding of his grandson, “Adel,” the son of director Rami Imam.

Adel Imam appeared in a family photo gathering his family members, with the newlyweds, Adel Al-Saghir and Farida, in the middle, and the leader’s wife appeared next to them, while the rest of the family appeared behind them.

As for the photo circulating recently, it was not of the leader, but rather showed Indian scriptwriter Salim Khan, father of artist Salman Khan, after he attended a family event in Mumbai. While his features underwent digital modifications that made them closer to the features of the Egyptian artist, which sparked controversy among followers.
