Egyptian artist Mimi Gamal left the hospital on Saturday morning, following the success of the surgery she underwent to install a joint in the pelvis, after she suffered a sudden fall inside her home, which led to her being seriously injured that prevented her from being able to move.
A source close to the artist revealed, in exclusive statements to Al Arabiya.net and Al Hadath.net, that the medical team treating her allowed her to leave after ensuring the stability of her health condition and the success of the surgical intervention, indicating that the doctor supervising her treatment recommended that she adhere to complete rest and careful medical follow-up during the next four weeks, while avoiding movement, which resulted in postponing all of her engagements and artistic activities until she fully recovered.
In the details of the health crisis, the artist’s daughter explained that her mother was carrying out her normal life inside her home in the Mohandiseen neighborhood in Giza Governorate, before she suddenly fell and felt severe foot pain, after which she was transferred to the hospital. Medical examinations and x-rays showed that she had a fracture in the pelvic joint that required urgent surgical intervention.
She added that her mother underwent, the day before yesterday, Thursday, an operation to install a new joint, and remained under strict medical observation for two days, until her condition stabilized and the doctors allowed her to complete the recovery period and home care.
It is noteworthy that the artist Mimi Gamal, whose real name is Amina Mustafa Gamal, began her artistic career in her childhood through the movie “Stronger Than Love,” and presented hundreds of successful works in theatre, cinema and television, in addition to her famous artistic duet with her husband, the late artist Hassan Mustafa.
Mimi Gamal's last cinematic appearance was in the movie "Red Flag", in which she co-starred with the artists Ahmed Hatem and Sherif Mounir.
