Difficult hours are being experienced by the Egyptian Opera House, days before the start of the Arab Music Festival, and the 34th session of the festival is witnessing massive apologies and a major attack on the festival’s management, as Egyptian singer Rami Sabry joined the list of stars angry with those in charge of the festival.
On Saturday morning, Rami Sabry announced his readiness to participate in the Arab Music Festival, as he graduated from the Higher Institute of Arab Music at the Egyptian Academy of Arts, which makes him aware of the value and status of the Arab Music Festival, and puts himself at the disposal of the Opera House this year.
Only a few minutes passed until Rami Sabry deleted this post from his official social media platforms.
He returned to clarify his position, through a new post, in which he said that he deleted the post about the festival for reasons he now knows, which he did not know before due to his travel outside Egypt.
He attributed the reasons for his new decision to a video clip of Reda El-Wakil, the head of the Egyptian Opera House, about which Rami Sabry said, “In a video of the head of the Egyptian Opera House, it is not true that he disparages artists and stars... and it is not true that he is dismissive,” indicating that he retracted his decision to participate, after he watched the video, and decided to join his colleagues and stand in solidarity with them, stressing his respect for the Egyptian Opera House.
