Amrish Boys School celebrates Palestinian Heritage Day activities

Hebron - Ofoq News - As part of the activities to revive the Palestinian heritage, the morning queue activities began with physical exercises under the supervision of the physical education teacher, followed by the reading of Surat Al-Fatihah and the raising of the Palestinian flag by the Boy Scouts troop.

After that, the scout troop leader gave a speech in which he talked about the authentic Palestinian heritage of all kinds, and the importance of preserving it and passing it on to future generations.

The sixth-grade students also presented a play entitled “Blessing the Olive Tree,” under the supervision of Professor Iyad Al-Shaarawi. It dealt with a number of popular Palestinian proverbs that embody wisdom, patience, and the spirit of Palestinian life, including: “He who does not learn patience will not eat grapes,” and “Cook, O sea, I cooked your food. He said: I am not full.” The play received interaction and admiration from students and faculty members.

At the conclusion of the activities, the school principal delivered a speech in which he thanked all the participants for their efforts in making the Palestinian heritage revival activities a success, stressing the importance of adhering to national identity and preserving popular heritage. He also honored the students who excelled in the Arabic language test, in recognition of their excellence and to encourage them to continue their excellence and success.

All thanks and appreciation to everyone who contributed to the success of these events, as our heritage is our identity, and preserving it is the responsibility of generations.
