Manchester City beat Liverpool by three goals to none, at Anfield, on Sunday, in the sixth round of the English Premier League (Premier League). Erling Haaland, Jeremy Doku and Ryan Sharqi scored a hat-trick for the City in the 65th, 68th and 78th minutes, with shots inside the penalty area. Here are the most prominent events witnessed in the match: - The Reds fans loudly booed the Manchester City players, who are facing accusations of violating the Premier League’s financial rules, before the starting whistle and during the match. - The City fans raised inflatable plastic figures of bananas, to revive a historical tradition, as a fan had brought an inflatable banana to one of the matches in the 1987/88 season, and the matter then turned into a popular phenomenon during the 1980s.
