Iran recalled the proposal it had previously submitted via mediators to the United States recently. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said that this proposal, which leads to opening the Strait of Hormuz within seven days, is still on the table. He also added, in statements to local media on Sunday, that Washington’s acceptance of Tehran’s conditions would mean opening the Strait within six days and resuming talks on the seventh day.

Note that US President Donald Trump had previously announced his rejection of this proposal, stressing that he was no longer interested in this issue after the American forces were able to secure navigation and the movement of ships in this important waterway, as he put it.
