Tel Aviv - Ofek News - The Israeli Ministry of Finance announced that it intends to agree to reduce fuel prices by 50 dollars per liter for a month after the price increases.
Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich intends to reduce the price of gasoline by 50 agora per liter for a month, in addition to the previous discount of the same value, at a cost estimated at about 150 million shekels per month.
According to the opinion of the Israeli Ministry’s legal advisor, “There is nothing preventing the Minister of Finance from signing a reduction in the price of gasoline for next month as requested. The government’s legal advisor must now present her opinion, and accordingly, the text of the reduction decision will be published for public opinion.”
Smotrich decided to support the previous increase in fuel prices at a cost of approximately 310 million Israeli shekels every two months, and the cost of the current reduction is expected to reach approximately 150 million Israeli shekels per month.
