Days pass quickly, and Muslims around the world have begun searching on search engines for the date of the month of Ramadan for the year 1448 AH (2027 AD), as well as the date of Eid al-Fitr.

Astronomical calculations indicate that the first day of the month of Ramadan 1448 AH is expected to fall on Monday, February 8, 2027. The precise determination is based on the sighting of the crescent of Ramadan and the announcement through official channels in Islamic countries.

It is astronomically expected that Eid al-Fitr for the year 1448 AH will fall on Tuesday, March 9, 2027, if the month of Ramadan has 29 days, or Wednesday, March 10, if the holy month has 30 days, according to astronomical calculations, while the official announcement of the date of the Eid remains linked to the sighting of the crescent of Shawwal.

According to the International Astronomy Center, the central conjunction (central conjunction) will occur on Saturday, February 6, 2027 at 15:56 UTC.

He added that by adopting the international Hijri calendar based on calculating the possibility of sighting the crescent, the beginning of the month of Ramadan in the eastern region will be on Monday, February 8, 2027, and the beginning of the month in the western region will be on Monday, February 8, 2027.

The International Astronomy Center explained that this calendar relies on prior astronomical calculations and does not wait for the actual observation of the crescent. It also relies on a specific criterion to determine the beginning of the new Hijri month. The center indicated that some countries and organizations may adopt different standards to prove the start of the month, calling for this to be taken into consideration when determining the start date of Ramadan.

Despite the accuracy of the calculations in determining the movement of the moon, the official announcement of the beginning of the month remains within the jurisdiction of the legitimate authorities after the crescent moon has been surveyed in Islamic countries.

Muslims around the world are anticipating the advent of the Holy Month to prepare for fasting and worship, in addition to preparing families to welcome the Holy Month with the famous Ramadan foods and drinks, as well as preparing for the blessed Eid al-Fitr holiday.
