Russian model Irina Shayk caught attention with a bold and striking look while attending the world premiere of the movie “The Echo Chamber” at the 83rd Venice Film Festival, bringing back an archival dress from the spring-summer 2003 collection of the Italian house Dolce & Gabbana. Shayk appeared on the red carpet in a tight black midi dress from the archives of the Italian fashion house. It features a simple design at first glance, before its side details reveal its bolder character.

The dress was decorated with criss-crossing ties extending on both sides of the body, leaving parts of the skin exposed, in a design that belongs to the fashion of ties inspired by “bondages” that characterized the fashion trends of that period. The design was one of the most prominent designs of the group at the time, after the Brazilian model Gisele Bündchen wore it on the catwalk.

After more than two decades, Shayk re-introduced it on the red carpet in a simple outfit represented by black high-heeled shoes, dark black tights, and a shiny narrow necklace around the neck. The Russian model appeared in another archival look during the day in Venice, Italy, consisting of a sculpted black jacket and wide men's trousers from the fall and winter 2015-2016 collection of the Italian house "Givenchy".
