The 36th meeting of the Ministers of Justice of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries discussed the draft of the unified rules for combating cybercrime in the Council countries, and reviewed the report of the Committee of Officials of International Cooperation and International Relations Departments of the Ministries of Justice for the year 2026.

In parallel, the meeting reviewed a number of topics and initiatives aimed at enhancing judicial cooperation among the Council countries, supporting digital transformation, and developing judicial procedures, which contributes to improving the efficiency of services.
The ministers also discussed ways to enhance cooperation and coordination among the Ministries of Justice of the Council countries, and they were briefed on the results and recommendations submitted by the Committee of Directors and Heads of Judicial and Legal Training Centers and Institutes in the Council countries.
The meeting was held in Manama, chaired by the Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs, and Endowments Nawal Al-Maawda, with the participation of the relevant ministers and the Assistant Secretary-General for Legislative and Legal Affairs at the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Thani.
Al-Maawda emphasized the importance of the meeting, which comes as a continuation of the path of Gulf judicial cooperation, and a new step towards enhancing coordination and integration in the judicial and legal fields, contributing to the establishment of the foundations of justice, and advancing the judicial integration process among the Council's member states to broader horizons, through the continued work on completing the unified judicial systems.
The minister also expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation to the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council, led by the Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Jassim Al-Budaiwi, and all the staff of the secretariat, for their organizational efforts in preparing for the meeting and ensuring its success.
