The young artist Hamza Diab continues to consolidate his steps in the artistic arena through choices that try to give him a continuous space to discover his abilities and present characters with different features, which is evident in his participation in the series “Khameen Fifty”, through which he experiences an experience that combines comedy, social drama, and suspense. The work comes within a series of experiments in which Diab relies on presenting roles belonging to various worlds and characters, with clear attention to the small details that give each character its own identity.
During the events of the series, Hamza Diab presents the character of “Rami”, the son of “Rania”, embodied by the artist Kinda Alloush, a character who goes through successive transformations as events develop, and finds herself facing situations that she had not anticipated.
The role caught Diab's attention from the beginning because of the space it afforded him, in addition to the diversity of situations that "Rami" goes through and the changes it imposes on him in the way he thinks and behaves. In his conversation with Al Arabiya.net, he talked about the details of the work.
Artist Hamza Diab said that he was excited to participate in “Khameen Fifty” from the first moment, explaining that the space of the character was one of the most important reasons that encouraged him to go through the experience, because it gave him a greater opportunity to play and deal with the details of the role and present it in an integrated manner.
He explained that the work was not just an acting experience for him during which he played his role and the matter ended, but he found in it a space to experiment and enjoy the character and explore different aspects of it, noting that the presence of a team that is enthusiastic about what it presents and cares about the details made the experience more encouraging for him.
Diab pointed out that "Rami" is a simple and ambitious young man, trying to rely on himself and create his own path, but circumstances push him into situations he did not expect, which makes the character in a state of continuous development throughout the events.
He added that what attracted him most about “Rami” is that he is not a character who moves at one pace, as his features and reactions change whenever he faces a new situation, which for him constituted an acting challenge that requires paying attention to the impact of each stage on the character and not presenting it in the same way from the beginning of the work until the end.
Hamza Diab's preparations for the character did not stop at the acting aspect, as "Rami" is associated with the sport of cycling, which required attention to the method of movement and handling of the bike, especially in scenes that include movement and filming in outdoor places.
He pointed out that the series also approaches the world of bicycle racing, in addition to “Rami” getting into a number of problems related to the events, which opens multiple paths for the character and makes his path change as the story develops.
Hamza Diab spoke about his experience working in front of the artist Kinda Alloush, expressing his happiness in cooperating with her, and noting that the scenes of filming were characterized by comfort and cooperation from the beginning.
He said that Kinda Alloush has a high degree of professionalism, and cares about details and the actor standing in front of her, which helped create a state of understanding and harmony during the scenes that brought them together.
He added that working with her was an enjoyable experience, and he hoped that “Fifty Fifty” would not be the only experience that brought them together, especially since the filming atmosphere provided a positive mood among the various members of the team.
He explained that his goal was to present “Rami” as an independent character with his own world and details, and not just a copy of him, which prompted him to separate his real personality from the character he plays in front of the camera.
The young artist revealed that the work team finished filming the series long before it was shown, which made its finally arrival to the audience a different moment for him, especially after the waiting period he lived through since the end of filming.
