- President Donald Trump was forced to stop his speech repeatedly during a campaign rally in San Antonio on Wednesday, as an unusually large number of protesters disrupted the event. Police removed at least 12 protesters from the hall while Trump was speaking, some of whom were handcuffed; one was wearing a hat bearing the slogan of Trump's campaign "Make America Great Again."
Trump downplayed the first interruption by turning to the crowd and saying, "Let me ask you a question: Is there anything that compares to a Trump rally? Is there anything like this?" He then added, "No, it’s...
But the interruptions continued; after more protesters were removed, Trump said, "If there are more paid protesters, please raise your hand and get out of here immediately." At one point, Trump commented on the appearance of one of the protesters, saying, "That guy needs to lose a lot of weight."
