"I even argued with my aunt".. Mbappé mocks claims of his dispute with Real Madrid over the Ballon d'Or

- Kylian Mbappe denied reports in the Spanish media that he is dissatisfied with the way Real Madrid has supported him in his quest to win the Ballon d'Or for Best Football Player in 2026. Mbappe is considered one of the candidates for the "Ballon d'Or", alongside Lionel Messi, Ousmane Dembélé, Lamine Yamal, and Harry Kane.

A Spanish journalist claimed during an interview with the newspaper "Marca" that Kylian Mbappe feels frustrated with the "Merengues" due to their failure to launch a public campaign for the 27-year-old to win the Ballon d'Or. Mbappe responded to the journalist sarcastically, writing on his Instagram account: "I even fought with my great-aunt too," and accompanied his response with laughing emojis.

Earlier, Kylian confirmed to the Afq News network that he still has a chance to win the "Ballon d'Or", considering that the award should be given to the best individual player. Mbappe added: "Football is a team sport, but there are collective titles that embody that collective dominance."

He continued: "When we talk about the Ballon d'Or, it is awarded to one player, meaning it goes to the best player, and therefore the player who proves to be the best, as every major tournament reveals something." Mbappe topped the all-time World Cup scoring chart with 22 goals after scoring 10 times in the 2026 World Cup, and he also scored 42 goals and provided 7 assists during the last season with Real Madrid.
