To follow the Saudi Football Channel on WhatsApp from Ofoq News in Arabic, click here - The Saudi Professional League Association announced on its official website, on Tuesday, the postponement of 3 matches within the ninth round of the competition. It was decided that the match between Riyadh and Al-Hilal will be held on December 19, and on the same day, the match between Al-Ittihad and Al-Shabab.
It was also decided that the El Clasico match between Al-Ahly and Al-Nasr will be held on March 6, 2027, while the rest of the round’s matches will be played on their approved dates without change. The association said that it took into account “in setting the new dates the minimum rest periods between matches, in addition to the operational and organizational requirements associated with holding matches.”
The association explained that these amendments come “within the organizational procedures adopted to manage the competition schedule, taking into account various considerations related to the teams’ logistical arrangements necessary to hold the matches.” The match between Al-Faisaly and Abha in the eighth week was previously postponed until October 27, due to “circumstances beyond the clubs’ control.”
Al-Hilal leads the Roshan League standings with 21 points, two points ahead of Al-Qadisiyah and Al-Nasr.
