Iranian army spokesman: Our defense capabilities have increased and we have introduced new equipment and operations

Tehran - Ofoq News - Iranian army spokesman, Brigadier General Mohammad Akrami Nia, confirmed that Iran’s air defense capabilities have become higher than they were during what he described as the “Ramadan War,” noting the introduction of new equipment into the combat system.

Akrami Nia said that in recent weeks, Iranian forces shot down several American drones, adding that the air defense forces prepared new operational and technical plans and implemented them within the framework of the Air Defense Command headquarters.

He added that the forces trained to carry out joint and innovative operations, and significantly enhanced air defense coverage throughout the country, compared to the period before the war.

He pointed out that joint exercises were conducted during the recent period with the aerospace force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, with the aim of enhancing coordination between the two sides.

Regarding American naval movements, Akrami Nia said that American warships have moved away to distances exceeding 500 kilometers from the coast of the Gulf, adding that the operational plans being implemented will force them in the coming days to move away to greater distances.
